Evolutionary & molecular biology

Our research focuses on the importance of genome stability in evolution and speciation.

We are especially interested in the molecular basis of reproductive isolation.

News

September 2022: Mélissa Laplante and Fiona Ewart both won prizes at the third undergraduate student research day for their poster presentations. Congratulations!

August 2022: Congratulations to Alexandre-James who was awarded a MITACS GlobaLink fellowship to visit the lab of Alexander Suh this Fall in England.

September 2021: Mélissa Laplante won the first prize of the second undergraduate student research day for her poster presentation. Congratulations!

June 2021: Jérôme Légère was awarded an STGM scholarship. Félicitations!

April 2021: Mélissa Laplante was awarded an undergraduate research fellowship from NSERC, Congrats!

March 2021: Claude Power has won the second prize among Masters students for his presentation at the CJCC. Congratulations!

March 2020: We are hosting Julie Strand who is a PhD student from Denmark. She will be doing cytogenetics with us for the next 4 months.
